Chestnut Tree House - the children's hospice for Sussex
Shoreham Bonfire Society is absolutely delighted to be giving a part of this years bucket collection to the Chestnut Tree House, the Children's hospice for Sussex.
Here is a little more about this wonderful cause...
Chestnut Tree House, Children's Hospice Care
Chestnut Tree House provides specialist palliative care services to children and young people 0-19 with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses in East Sussex, West Sussex and South East Hampshire.
At Chestnut Tree House our goal is to provide the best quality of life for children, young people and their families, and to offer a total package of practical, social and spiritual support throughout each child’s life, however short it may be.
It costs over £3 million each year to provide all our care services. Families are never charged for their care and the hospice receives less than 8% from central government, so it relies heavily on the generosity, help and support of the local community.
Chestnut Tree House & Shoreham Bonfire Society
Shoreham Bonfire Society is so happy to be in a position to support a local charity for the first time, and even more delighted that the chosen charity supports children and families in our local community.
We are guaranteeing that a minimum of 10% of the money collected in our buckets on the 8th November will go directly to Chestnut Tree House.
A successful Collection on the night, that covers the cost of the event, will enable us to give more than 10%... so the more you donate, the more we can give to Chestnut Tree House.
